Project Abstract: The primary building material that is utilized extensively for large-scale construction projects all over the world is
Include references ready-mixed concrete. The usage of concrete in a variety of forms is occasionally expanding due to more attention being
paid to housing and infrastructure as well as road projects. For such a growing demand, ready-mixed concrete was
introduced as a superior alternative to concrete that is mixed on the construction site and then batched in a controlled
environment. To guarantee that the works comply with the specification, quality control encompasses all the steps
conducted during material selection, the manufacturing of concrete, and final concrete products. Due to improper quality
Consequently, batching plants produce concrete every day for a variety of uses. A strict quality process must be
adhered to in terms of the selection of materials used to make concrete, storage of those materials, monitoring their
quality, plant maintenance, calibration of equipment, the condition of the plant and transit mixers, sampling of the
concrete, testing, and monitoring of results, weighbridge checks of loaded and unloaded vehicle weights, stock control of
The purpose of this study was to examine the quality of ready-mixed concrete in general and to determine the
major factors to quality control in particular produced by 5 different Batching Plants in Batangas City. The researchers
also aim to evaluate the setting time and compressive strength capacity to determine the durability of the product as
well as promote safe and adequate service to the public. The research will be conducted by thoroughly reviewing
previous studies, desk study to be done by gathering concrete test data from third-party testing facilities, interviewing
regulatory bodies, a structured and open-ended questionnaire will be distributed to producers of ready-mixed concrete,
and detailed observation of batching plants and concrete casting sites. This study will be conducted for the researchers
to conclude what kind of improvement they could suggest to batching plants to promote inclusive, safe, resilient, and
sustainable service and settlements. Due to concrete's importance in terms of project cost, consultants, contractors, and
Research Questions: This study aims to determine the quality control in ready mixed concrete produced by 5 different Batching Plants in Batangas
City, as well as conduct compressive strength test on their ready mixed concrete products.
Specifically, it aims to answer the following questions:
1. What are the main components of a ready mixed concrete produced by 5 different Batching Plants in Batangas
City?
2. Is there a significant difference between the quality control practice and the compressive strength capacity?
3. How is quality control of ready-mixed being practiced in 5 different Batching Plants in Batangas City?
4. What are the main factors that mainly affect the quality control of ready-mixed concrete?
5. How frequently and when are compliance criteria used to overcheck quality assurance of ready-mixed concrete?
Research Objectives: The general objective of the study is:
1. To investigate ready-mixed concrete quality control practice in 5 different Batching Plants in Batangas City.
The specific objectives of this study are:
1. To identify and prioritize factors that influence Ready Mixed Concrete (RMC) operations and the quality of
ready-mixed concrete.
2. To conduct material testing on the sample of ready mixed concrete from 5 different Batching Plants in Batangas
City.
3. To determine if there is a significant difference between the quality control practice of 5 different Batching Plants
in Batangas City and the compressive strength capacity of the samples taken from them
