Distraction Drive

Our school is participating in a Distraction Drive event. This event is organized by our junior high leadership
group and in partnership with the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital Foundation, in hopes of giving back to
our community.
In keeping with the theme of giving during the holiday season, we would like to help provide a little cheerful
distraction for those younger patients during their time spent at the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital. We are
having a friendly classroom competition to see which classroom can collect the most items during the two
week time period: December 5-December 16. The classroom with the most items collected will receive a class
pizza party. But most importantly, we will be making the lives of younger members of our community a little
more happier!
For health reasons, all items collected must be new and not used. The Grande Prairie Regional Hospital
Foundation is looking for items to help distract these young patients' minds from their present hardships.
Items they are in need of, but are not limited to:
*Stuffed animals for the younger patients
*for the teen patients: colouring books (geared towards teens/adults),
suduko books, comics, doodle pads, mazes, puzzles etc.

We thank you for your help in spreading the gift of giving this holiday season!
