4.1 Employ ethical decision-making grounded
in philosophical inquiry. * At this time, I feel that I have partially met this skill.
I usually make decisions ethically and think
of the consequences that could happen due to
the decision I make prior to making choices.
I analyze the actions as a whole, prior to
making them.
I do not feel that the decisions I make are
grounded in philosophical inquiry.
4.2 Apply Catholic social teaching to the
analysis of contemporary social issues. * I feel as though I have mastered this skill in my
vocation essay for Senior Integrative Seminar
I discuss my vocation being to spread God’s
word, love, and miracles. It is my right to
believe in God and what he is capable of.
Connecting with this, it is my responsibility
to spread his word, love, and miracles in an
attempt to stop some of the evil in the world.
4.3 Explain the value of diverse spiritual and
religious perspectives. * At this time, I feel as though I have mastered this
skill through my assignment on being a follower of
Jesus, titled Jesus Week 7 (artifact)
The assignment discusses how one is to pray
according to the Gospel of Matthew. I use
this to show how both Cardinal Bernadine
and Immacule seek Jesus and follow him
even through the tragedies they have been
through.
Even though they went through two
completely different situations, they were
similar in some ways- and they found Jesus
in their own way which proves diverse
spiritual and religious perspectives.
4.4 Integrate the action of charity with the
virtue of justice * At this time, I feel that I have partially met this skill.
I help my father and stepmom with a charity
that they are forming into a non-profit entity.
It is called Holy Hot Dogs. We go to low-
income communities with a food truck to
hand out hot dogs, drinks, and donated items
(clothes, shoes, toys, etc.). The charity is
handing out this stuff and the justice is
knowing that we are helping low-income
communities.
I know there is a great deal more I can do to
continue my work and personal growth with
virtue of justice.
4.5 Exercise responsible freedom and civic
engagement based on an informed value * At this time, I feel that I have partially met this skill.
I am active in the church. Holy Hot dogs run
system. by my father and step-mom got started
through the church and I volunteer to help
and enjoy helping other communities and
individuals who do not have much.
In addition, my father, stepmom, and I put
together money this year to provide items for
both Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners to
the individuals in the low-income
communities.
My family also has participated in an “adopt
a family” for the holidays, dropping off food
baskets and gifts for families in local towns,
calling and telling them to “check their
porch, a friend has made a special delivery
for the family.”
