Topic: How I first got interested in reading.

Everyone has their own hobby. Some could be hiking, going shopping, or other outdoor and
indoor activities. But my hobby is reading, and I really enjoy it. So now let me tell you how I
first got interested in books.

The book I first read is called "The Witches" by Roald Dahl. A few years ago, reading wasn’t
my thing. I hated reading so much that I never kept a book in my bedroom. On my 7th
birthday, my mom decided to buy me a book as a present. At first, I was so mad at her
because she knew that I hated reading, but instead of giving me something nicer, she gave me
a book. My mom told me that reading books could help me a lot in the future, so I agreed and
decided to give it a try. For the first few days, you guys couldn’t imagine how bored I got
when I first read a few pages. I couldn’t even force myself because it seemed like I was so
tired when I just picked up the book.

A few minutes later, my mom walked in, seeing how bored I got with reading, and she said,
"The more that you read, the more things you will know."
And then she just left; I wondered what that even meant. So for the next seven days, I was
forced to read the whole book. And guess what? I finished all of it. I asked my mom if she
could get another book for me; she agreed, and we both went to the mall together, where I
saw the Matilda book. I begged her to get it for me, and she did. I spent hours reading it
without getting bored anytime, and when I finished it, my mom asked me to review it since I
had been reading it non-stop, and I did what she asked. My mom was very impressed, and she
bought me tons of books. Since then, I've loved reading books.

In short, reading is not very hard to get to like, but the important thing is that you need to
force yourself every time you read.
