Title: Something’s Changed
Things to do:
Read aloud thrice the tongue twisters above and write your
experiences during your recitation. Is there something in your
speaking skill has changed? Explain your answer in 5-7 sentences.

Tongue twisters are a great way to loosen up the mouth,

tongue and jaw. I find out that when I’m speaking too long
or is just preparing to do one, my mouth tends to tense up
so making specific noises helps me relax. After reciting
the tongue twisters above, my tongue and jaw loosened. That
results to a better pronunciation and enunciation of words.
I could enunciate repetitive r’s and l’s better, as well as
b’s and p’s.

Tongue-Twisting Tools for Building Enunciation Skills

Part of every theater class and rehearsal should include

warm-ups. Most teachers do both physical and vocal warmups— and
no vocal warm-up is complete without reciting a few enunciation
exercises. With that in mind, you will find these 36
fundamentally fun tongue twisters to be a great resource. Each
one provides an "elocution work out." Take a few for a test
drive. Say each line three times. But remember, do not worry
about speed. Focus on speaking clearly, even if you must over-
enunciate at first. After which, narrate your struggles,
experiences and lessons after performing the exercise. Write your
answer in not more than 150 words. Use the box provided below to
input your answer.

ANSWER:
I read all the tongue twisters slow at first, then a tad faster after every round. I had difficulties
pronouncing the ones with many r’s and l’s. The words with the same consonants but had
different vowels were also difficult to pronounce repeatedly, such as the tongue twister on
letter S. I did the enunciation exercises to loosen my jaw and lips, as well as lip trills. Doing
these exercises lessened the tense in my mouth and jaw, thus I was able to enunciate the words
more.
