Observation:
While designing the house main
concept was to design a spaces which
facilitated with a vast opening towards the
garden and the quiet street. All main
activities are connected with the garden.
The triple height dining area with full glass
brings in abundant natural light
throughout the day and adds grandness.

Two cube extruded outside the room. which is full cover with glass. The
unique and huge “Bee” themed art installation gives the house an identity and presence in
the context.

To enhance the magnificence of travertine

stone and give individuality to the house and the garden,
a two layer hexagonal jaali with metal bees is installed.
The client’s concern about security of the house derived
the idea of jaali as a security grill. The soul of the house is
triple height dining area with full height glass, which gave
a garden view. The central core lights complete the house
with filtered day light. It adds to grandness of house and
also functions as a central interactive space. They used
BEIGE TRAVENTINO, BEIGE ITALIAN MARBLE ,WALNUT
STAINED TEAK WOOD, TEXTURED PAINT , LEATHER
AND FABRIC , FORM FINISHED CONCRETE in the
building. “TRAVENTINO” stone gave the best
compliment to the garden and the house.

The plot is a tight site with a lot of requirements. To meet them, two walls are
constructed holding the house together connecting different spaces with the central court
acting as an interaction threshold.

(Image 5 –form the configuration)

The dinning area is most important part of the house. It

is the main core of the house. Dinning area connected with
the all other areas. Dinning area is viewed from all the
bedrooms. At the 1st floor dinning area divided house in the
two part public area and privet area. Triple heighted
dinning area with full heighted glass gives a royal look to
the house. From the dinning we also see the garden view
threw jali. We enter in the house and directly connected
with dinning , they use only partition to define difference.

Partition
(Image 7 –shows partition between dinning and entrance from the staircase )

If we see dinning area and entrance, at the privacy purpose it doesn’t work that much. No
full partition or solid wall between the dinning and entrance. If we enter in the house we
direct get the view of dinning.

different area divide into two parts public and privet .dinning area is the central core of the
house. Garden area accessible from living room.

At the 3rd floor there are master bedroom and parent’s room are there. Both

Conclusion:
They used wood in door and dinning
area also. Wood and ambient light enhance the
glow of area.

At the conclusion ,To my way of

thinking the triple highted dinning like shining
star in the house. Without it house is nothing.
That hexagonal jali and metal bee also a unique
part of the house. Public and privet space divide
in a good way . and the green space and that jali
complement each other very well.
