Beatles- band formed in Liverpool in 1960.

In the first time were: John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George
Harrison,Stuart Sutcliffe, Pet Best. The most successful pop group.
They sold a record number of tickets. In the spring of 1957, 16 year
old John Lennon organised a group which involved his classmates
from school.

Initially, the group was called The Black Jacks and a week
later was renamed The Quarrymen - in honor of their
school.
Already in 1960, the group acquired the familiar name “The
Beatles”. But, none of the participants had a musical
education.

Successful time
In February 1962, The Beatles recorded their
first recording for BBC radio. In April, The
Beatles went on their third tour to Hamburg
as the best rock band in Liverpool

The breakthrough occurred at the turn of
