WRITING PROJECT: Describing ourselves

Describing ourselves is one of the most difficult tasks to do, but it is also fascinating,
putting it into words. In this text we want to make ourselves known, both my partner and I,
describing ourselves physically and personally, writing our likes and dislikes and showing
where we came from. I believe that our traits, whether positive or negative, make us the
person we are to the world. Finally, we want to be able to find our differences and
similarities after knowing each other for 20 years where during all this time we have shared
our joys and sorrows.
The first person is Ingrid Yovanna Castellanos Pachón, she is from Bogota, she is 44 years
old, she is a commercial advisor, and she works at Claro Colombia selling home and
cellphone services. She is short and thin. She has short and brown hair, and she already has
brown eyes. She describes herself as an optimistic person; she thinks everything is going to
be alright. She is an easygoing and honest person, and she would say that she is
extroverted. She has two children, and one of the most things that she likes to do is share
time with her family. She likes do exercise and watch movies in her free time.
The second person is Carmen Cecilia Alzate. She is 45 years old. She was born on
Aranzazu, Caldas but she lives in Bogota, Colombia. She is working at Claro as specialist.
She likes going to the cinema. She likes going shopping, she likes to have time with her
family, she likes going to park, and she likes listening to music. She is an intelligent and
happy person. She always strives to achieve her life’s goals. She is a persistent person. In
the work, she has a group of 11 people, and they help to resolve problems of Claro in
portability. She is a short person with blond hair. Her eyes are brown. She has white skin.
She is a thin person. She has a son, and his name is Samuel.
Lastly, is there any difference between my classmate and me? After talking to her I found
she is different from me in two main ways. We are different by culture and religion.
Because she was born in Caldas and I was born in Bogotá, and there are many different
traditions, I am a Christian and she is a Catholic, so my family is more conservative. On the
other hand, we have more similarities because we are women dedicated to our family and
our work. We are loyal to what we think, and we do. We have very similar likes and
hobbies.
