Homework + Quiz

Homework problems will be posted weekly. Not all


homework problems may be graded. A quiz may
be given on each homework due day. Each quiz
covers the homework assigned in the previous
week with problems very similar or identical to
the homework problems. Unless you have a
university excuse, late assignments will not be
accepted for credit. Please do not ask for
exceptions.
Exams

Two examinations, one written and the other oral,


and a final examination are scheduled.
Unexcused absences will result in a grade of zero
for missed examinations. All exams are closed
book. Any kind of resources are not permitted to
bring with you in all exams.
Grade

Grading Policy: (Total Marks: 150)

 Class Performance/Attendance/Homework/Quizzes: 10 Marks

 Midterm Assignments – (10th Week): 25 Marks

 Oral Exam – (10th Week): 25 Marks

 Final Written Exam: 75 Marks


Attendance Policy

 Attendance is highly recommended


 Quiz will be given on the assignment due day. It
is your responsibility to make sure you attend
class and take quiz on those days. Only
University excuse will be accepted for missing
homework and quiz.
 The instructor is under no obligation to provide an
opportunity for the student to make up work
missed because of an unexcused absence.

COURSE AIM

 To enable the student to have a systematic


and easily understood account of the
principles of Turbomachinery.
COURSE OBJECTIVES

 To give a lucid and concise exposition of


turbomachines theory, performance and their
matching with various engineering flow
systems.

 To exhibit their limitations, precautions, and


troubleshooting when selected for a wide
spectrum of different engineering applications.
