Taking Photos and Videos from Your Apple Watch

Dilek Aslan

One of the greatest features iPhone has synchronized with Apple Watch is the built-in camera app
that enables the iPhone users to control the iPhone cameras from the watch itself. This gives the users a
great deal of flexibility in terms of where and how they could take photos. For example, the users could
stabilize the iPhone on a tripod and move away to take photos of animals that could easily get scared away
by human existence or movement. Or it could be used to take group photos without a selfie stick, or the
timer.
Here are the steps to take photos from your watch:

Click on the Camera app icon on your Apple Watch (it is built-in).

It will automatically turn on the camera on the iPhone. If you switch the screen
to a different app, an “Open Camera” button will appear on the watch screen.

Once the camera is on, you can click on the “three dots” next to
the shutter on the watch to see the further menu options. Here
you can enable features like front or back camera, 3-second
timer, flash, live photo or HDR.

Once the preferred settings are applied, you can focus on

the object they like on the watch screen itself. Now all that is left is a
great shoot. Clicking on the shutter will take photos and holding the
shutter down will take videos.
