In relation to Kitsch, I believe that Kelly park is not Kitsch and the perfect resemblance of what Florida
has to offer. Given the definition of “instantaneous emotional gratification without intellectual
effort, without the requirement of distance, without sublimation.” Kitsch is a very interesting
topic, considering that the meaning seems to vary from place to place, but given this definition
Kelly springs is definitely not too much, and requires admiration of beauty, and great intellectual
thought. Though I do not really believe that this idea is very tangible, I believe that everyone has
their taste, weather it be in art, or in attractions. This attraction is so authentic to Florida given
that it is in nature, it is with water, in is outdoors in the sun, all things that are classic Florida.
When you think Florida you think water and heat. The springs represent that beautifully. The
relatively easy way of entry in that it is only a couple of bucks to get in and have fun, with the
enjoyable dock with places to sit and rest, to the multiple different spring paths that you can take
for newer to advanced paddlers. These springs welcomes families and is really popular with
young adults too. Florida is a perfect spot for natural springs, and Kelly park is no exception. The
popularity of this park only grows each and every year. I would say the cat is out of the bag with
this on the “hidden gem” name because during summer times at 12 you can barely even get in it
is so busy. Going earlier is most certainly the way to go on those summer days, and in the Florida
heat, there is no better place to be than in some water somewhere, that somewhere being Kelly
Park.
