"Treat a work of art like a prince, let it speak to you first.

"

The quotation can be regarded as simple but the author always has his thoughts on arts on
the basis of his philosophical thought. Basing from the given quotation, there are a lot of
interpretation that we can came up with. Some may say that the meaning behind this is that we
should cherish our life starting from when we were young so that we don't have any regrets when
we're in our old age. Some may say that the youth is the gift of our nature, but age is the work of
art.
In my opinion, I would agree on what the author has said. As we enter in the museums,
we're struck by the beauty of every artwork and the meaning behind it. It gives us the
presumption that there are a lot of interpretation, but one thing for sure, a certain artwork caught
our eyes and it's giving us a message how valuable and meaningful that art.
With this quotation, we can compare this in our real life. The author is implying that we met
different people every day, and as we met them for the first time, we already have in our mind
our first impression just basing on what they look like or how they act, we already judged them
without knowing what really their personality is or what values do they have. This kind of habit
that every person exercised should be changed since nowadays it became a norm to judge the
people easily.
To conclude, every artwork have different meanings based on the viewer's eyes and it
should be respected and treated like a prince, that we need to value every single piece of artwork
because apart from that it became part of our history, it also uplifts our appreciation towards arts
and in every artwork there is always a story to share, we just need to appreciate it so that we can
know what really the creator of a certain piece of work wanted to tell us.
