JD2-NARELAW

PROPOSED PROJECT

1. As a resident of Marilag, Rosario, Batangas I have seen in our barangay that the
wastes that are coming from those who owns poultry, usually the smell & the wastes
itself goes down to the river/canals which as a result produced a bad odor which is the
main complaint of the neighbors. In order to address the issue, through the initiative of
the neighbors, they must look for the barangay officials specifically the barangay captain
in order for him/her to know what should be a proper remedy for the complaint of the
neighborhood.
2. The jurisdiction must be vested with the Barangay and with the aid of the Local
Government Unit of Lipa.
3. For the policy proposal, if having a poultry cannot be made outside the house
premises or barangay then they must comply with the standards when it comes in
owning a poultry. First, there should always be a sanitation in order for the odor of the
poultry to be lessen. Second, the wastes that are coming out should have its own path
way where in all the wastes would only flow there and not from the rivers/canals in the
said barangay. Lastly, those who will violate the said rules will be subject to a fine in
order for those who owns poultry to have the initiative to clean up their poultry. These
fines that will be collected from the said owners of poultry would be used for the
maintenance of cleanliness of the barangay.
4. The ideal situation would be proper handling of the poultry; with this mandate it would
not only benefit the owner but also the neighbors who are suffering from the wastes &
odor that are coming from the poultry.
