Diana of Wales

Birth:
Diana Frances Spencer was born on July 1st of 1961 in Park
House, Norfolk, U.K. She was the fourth child of five children
of John Spencer and Frances Ruth Burke Roche. The Spencer
Family has a state aliance with the British Royal family since
the generations.

Marriage:
● In July 1981 she married prince Charles Of England, eldest
son of Queen Elizabeth II and the heir the to the crown of
U.K the ceremony was broadcasted live on tv and followed
by millions of viewers. Months later they had their first
son, William, and three years later they had their second
son, Harry. She collaborated with several charity
organizations, especially those dedicated to the fight
against AIDS.

Prince William is the first son of Diana, he was born on June
21st of 1982 in London, U.K. In April 2011 he married with Kate
Middleton. They had three children, George in 2013, Charlotte
in 2015 and Louis in 2018.

Prince Harry is the second son of Diana, he was born on
September 15th of 1984 in London, U.K. In April 2018 he
married with Meghan Markle. They had two children, Archie
Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor in 2019 and Lilibet Diana
Mountbatten-Windsor in 2021.

diana and the cancer:
Diana opened the Wolfson Children’s Cancer Unit on February 25th,
1993. In June 1996, she traveled to Chicago in her capacity as
President of the Royal Marsden Hospital to attend a fundraising
event at the Field Museum of Natural History and raised over €1
million for cancer researches. She also attended an annual breast
research fundraiser hosted by The Washington Post at the Nina Hyde
Center. In 1988, Diana opened Children with Leukemia, later renamed
Children with Cancer Uk in memory of two young cancer victims.

DIANA IN ANGOLA:
Diana was the patron of the Halo Trust, an organization that
removes the debris (particularly landmines) left behind by
war. In January 1997, pictures of Diana touring an Angolan
minefield wearing a ballistic helmet and a bulletproof vest
were seen around the world. Her work on the landmine
issues has been described as influential in the singing of the
Ottawa Treaty, which created an international ban on the
use of antipersonnel landmines.

CENTREPOINT:
Diana was a long-standing and active supporter of
Centrepoint, a charity that provides accommodation and
support for the homeless, becoming a patron in 1992. She
supported organizations which fighted for poverty and
homelessness, including, The Passage. The princess was
supportive of homeless youth and spoke on their behalf. She
said that: “they deserve a decent start in life”, “they deserve”,
she said.

For English people, Diana was a noble, charismatic,
supportive, religious woman who always had a smile no
matter what she was experiencing. Everyone remembers her
unique style of dressing and that she didn’t care about being
herself despite the comments of her mother-in-law, Queen
Elizabeth.

DEATH:
Diana was killed in a car accident in the Pont de l'Alma
tunnel in Paris in August 31st, 1997. The accident also
caused the death of her partner Dodi Al-Fayed and the
driver, Henri Paul. Her funeral was broadcasted, on the 6th
of September, the British TV audience had a peaked of 32.10
million, which was one of the highest views in the U.K.
Hundreds of people watched the event around the world.
