A Lesson Plan in English in Grade 7
(Noun)
I. Learning Objectives
At the end of the lesson, all of the students will be able to:
1. Determine what are the nouns through giving examples.
2. Explain what are the different types of adjectives through impromptu
speaking.
3. Make a short story and poem using the different types of nouns.

II. Learning Content

III. Learning Experience


A. Motivation: “Spin Me!” Activity
B. The teacher will create a spinner. Assuming there are 40 students in the class,
the spin the wheel has four entries: PERSON, THINGS, ANIMALS, AND
IDEA. The teacher will divide the class into four groups and the wheel should
be spun by each group leader. As soon as each group is given its own
category. The class should line up as the teacher calls each member of the
group individually. They will have one minute to provide as many noun
examples as they can based on the category they were given. The group with
the most examples provided will receive a score of 100.

C. Input Phase: “Impromptu Speaking” Activity


The teacher will discuss what are the different type of nouns using a Microsoft
PowerPoint presentation. After the discussion, the teacher will call the
students randomly and the teacher will give a noun example. The student
should guess what type of noun it is.

D. Working Phase: “Let’s Make a Story” Activity


Assuming that there are 40 students in class, the teacher will divide the class
into 4 groups with 10 members each. Each group should make a short story
using the different types of nouns. After 20 minutes each group must present
their work in front of the class.
Application: Using the short story that each group created from the last activity.
They should present it by role playing. The teacher will make a spinner that will decide
which group should present first.
Evaluation: The teacher will give the students 20 minutes time limit. Every student
should create a poem about their childhood memories using different types of nouns. After
that, each student must present their poem in front of the class.

IV. Assessment
The teacher will give an activity to the students.

Instruction: Identify what type of noun the underlined word is in each


sentence. Common, Proper, Abstract, Concrete, Countable and Uncountable
nouns.

Assignment
The students should make an informative video explaining what is noun and
different types of it.
