Dear Mr. Smith:

In the past three years, my family has eaten at your restaurant six times. This is
excellent news for both of us. After all, we enjoy your food and we both know that the
more my family and I eat there, the more income you receive. However, this last visit,
we experienced an increase of 7.4% in cost, smaller portions, and slower service. After
we pay our bill and 15% tip, we find we are paying on average $43.00 more to eat at
your restaurant. We are living at just barely above the poverty level in our current
economy. I have enclosed receipts of the past three years of visits for The Onion to
support my claim.

Because of your increased cost, I believe our portions and service should be
augmented to reflect the 7.4% increase to the menu. This is a fair way to do business.
