WORK ACCOMPLISHED

JANURARY
• Research how to make a snowboard to include equipment, press, molds, materials, space
needed, ventilation, electricity, associated cost
• Can start up in garage with equipment to begin production, however, will need to expand to a
workshop at some point.
• Financial investor committed, attorneys standing by to begin LLC

PPROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED
• Designing a snowboard and starting a new brand for a business has been difficult as I do not
have the experience which requires a tremendous amount of time and research however, my
investor is patient and is taking this opportunity to guide me through it.

WORK REMAINING

JANURARY
• Complete design of the snowboards – 3 types of boards (Beginner, Freestyle/Park, All-Mountain-
Freestyle)
• Graphics still pending

FEBRUARY
• Research mold and equipment press based on 3-tpes of snowboards – cost, logistics, set up,
operation

MARCH
• Order materials
• Propose budget and budget constraints

APRIL
• Start production prototypes
• Contact Veterans Administration to discuss possible outreach

MAY
• Find van for delivery, advertisement and transporting veterans to local mountains to use gear
• Contact local bases to set up outreach with MWR (Morale Welfare and Recreation)
• Contact local mountains for rental snowboards
• Contact local shops to sell snowboards

JUNE
• Set up delivery of production boards
• Create Vision and Mission statement (this will likely move up on the Gantt chart as the vision
and mission statement may change slightly while building the business)
CONCLUSION

This project is in its infant phase. It started with an idea while spending time with a retired Colonel form
the US Military. It was asked what works for my head issues and I mentioned the mountain, specifically
snowboarding as it offers a balance between focused and methodical, strategic coordination all while
finding my center with mother nature and all God has to offer medicinally through the landscaping of
the mountain.

RECOMMENDATIONS

I am new to the idea of starting a business and brand of a snowboard. However, the foundation and
reason for the company is to target Veterans and those who have experienced traumatic events in their
life while offering them a way to navigate their healing journey. My recommendations right now is don’t
be afraid to ask questions, ask for help, and accept feedback.
