The risk factors that may affect our study are time and availability of the
respondents due to the nature of their works and physical risks to researchers
that may occur during the conduct of the study which includes physical
discomfort, pain, illness or diseases.

3. How did you come up with your study?

On the onset of the pandemic, healthcare workers are at the front line of
the COVID-19 response and have the high risk of infection. However, little is
known about how the COVID-19 pandemic affects their daily work and life. For
this reason, we decided to conduct a study to investigate the impact of the
COVID-19 pandemic to the medical healthcare providers of Don Modesto
Formilleza, Sr. Memorial Hospital.

 What is the Rationale of your study?

The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in significant burdens globally. During
this time, healthcare workers are at the heart of the unparalleled crisis of COVID-19
(Gupta, Dhamija, Patil, & Chaudhari, 2021). On the onset of the COVID-19
pandemic, frontline healthcare workers are at risk of physical and mental
consequences directly as the result of providing care to patients with COVID-19.
Additionally, healthcare workers face a disproportionate increase in occupational
responsibilities during the COVID-19 pandemic. Added work-related stress among
healthcare personnel may lead to personal and work-related repercussions, such as
burnout or decreased quality of care for patients (De Kock, et al., 2021).
Based on these backgrounds and studies, this study is necessary to conduct
to determine the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic to the medical healthcare
providers of Poblacion, Looc, Romblon since little is known about their experiences
and challenges.
