● Presentation 1 of 3 - Policy 7.16 Common Syllabus - presented by Werner Absenger and
Grant Snider

● Presentation of 1 of 3 - Policy 7.2 Distance Learning Standards - presented by Meg
Lockard and Bill Knapp
○ Some discussion about virtual learning and if that language should be included in
the policy
○ Table Discussion
■ The policy document refers to “online and hybrid” courses. Should the
broader reference to “distance learning” courses replace “online and
hybrid” courses in the policy statement?
■ Should the policy document include definitions of Online and/ or Hybrid
courses, specifically, or is Distance Learning as defined in the faculty
contract more relevant?
■ Should we reference in the policy procedures implement a course
observation form specifically for DL classes based on these standards?
