MPU2223 PROFESSIONAL COMMUNICATION

The Assignment (100%) for this course comprises the following:

ASSESSMENT 1: PICTURE RESPONSE (20%) - INDIVIDUAL

How will the students be evaluated?

In Picture Response evaluation, the students will be evaluated based on their ability to:

1) Describe the picture (i.e. its content)

2) React to the picture (i.e. describe their opinions, emotions, Life experiences, cultures, etc in relation to the picture)

Procedures

How are the pictures collected?

-Each student will be provided two pictures by the lecturer in the Email/Google classroom a day before the day of evaluation.
Student need to prepare points for both pictures.

What kind of pictures are allowed for the evaluation?

-The picture can be in the form of an advertisement. cartoon, or images found in newspaper or periodicals.
-Pictures which contain minimal written statement or speech bubbles are allowed, as long as they do not provide too much
information that may inhibit students’ original response.

How long is the presentation?

-Each student is given about 3-6 minutes to present.

(40 points) Good language skills and pronunciation are used. 5
Visual aids are well prepared, informative, effective, and not 5
distracting.
Length of presentation is within the assigned time limits. 5
