Dura-Line® Coreless Induction Furnaces

Designed for High Power Density Melting and Rugged Use

The popular, mid-size Dura-Line® Furnace has features usually only found in larger
furnace designs which is why this is a great option for small to midsize foundries.

The Dura-Line® furnace body is constructed of heavy, cast refrac-

tory top and bottom sections with stainless steel reinforcement,
providing strong and rigid support for the heavy-duty, copper pow-
er coil and the working lining.

Cast Metal Side Plates

The full-section cast metal side plates complete the structure and
provide mounting support for the tilting trunnion and hydraulic tilt-
ing cylinders. Large diameter vertical and horizontal stainless steel
tie rods ensure complete structural integrity. The same construc-
tion is used for either hoist or hydraulic tilting furnaces, providing
single-trunnion action and “nose-tilt” pouring.

Furnace Cover
(Optional) Full Coil Protection
For front exiting leads, a metallic splash plate across
the front of the furnace provides full protection to
the coil during melting and pouring and is easily re-
moved to connect the water-cooled leads and for
maintenance.

Fume
Hydraulically operated furnaces are provided with
Collector stanchions that protect the cylinders and hydraulic
(Optional) piping. The control valves are mounted on a sepa-
rate pedestal and provide smooth, controlled pour-
ing by the operator.

System Rammed, vibrated refractory linings of silica, alu-
(Optional) mina or magnesia or pre-formed crucibles may be
used in furnaces. The selection of proper refractories
will depend on the alloys to be melted, furnace size,
High Power slags and other factors.
