Chapter I
INTRODUCTION
Many young teenagers in this generation are more impulsive and

affectionate in showing or expressing their feelings towards opposite sex.

They have many ways to show it, sometimes they are showing it through

constant conversation and communication like sending love letters, poems or

anything that can be understood by their young hearts and minds. But there
are teenagers, who are more affectionate when it comes to showing of

feelings. Being very affectionate to their partners can lead to impulsive

decision like having premarital sex. Premarital sex for teenagers is very

common nowadays because of too much intimacy and exposure to different

sources like programs in television and internet exposure.

Premarital sex for teenagers can result many problems like unwanted

pregnancies, abortions, abandonment or death in worst cases. If a teenager

will be exposed to these cases, most probably her life will be miserable or

can bring her in a more challenging life.

BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY

In this generation, we think that technology can help us in so many

ways. But they are not seeing that a lot of teenagers are now aware of not

only education related but also too much intimacy and pre-marital sex

through advancement of technology.

Nowadays, the researcher observed that there are pregnant teenagers

who are enrolled and actively attending their classes. Though they are given

attention by the school personnel and they are allowed to attend their
classes but still their lives are at stake or in danger, because a lot of things

may happen to them by attending their classes.

With this, the researcher decided to conduct a research study about

pre-marital sex and why teenagers indulge themselves in this activity even

though they know already the things that may happen to them if they still do

this. The focus of this study is to know how many teenagers are indulging

themselves in pre-marital sex or sex outside of married, and why are they

doing this. What are the things that drive them to continue doing this even

though they know the result already? And what are the things that they

would do to prevent this problem? And how are they going to correct and

the things that they did.

OBJECTIVE

The study aims to assess the magnitude and factors associated with

pre-marital sex sexual intercourse among adolescent students of the

secondary school of Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo High School. Among

secondary school adolescent students 90% reported pre-marital sexual

intercourse. This shows that premarital sexual intercourse among CGEAHS is

high.

SCOPE AND LIMITATIONS

students of Grades 11 and 12 of Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo Senior High

School.

Chapter II

This chapter presents the review of related literature and studies, the

conceptual framework or the matrix and research hypothesis.

REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE (MATRIX)

Topic: Intimacy and Pre-marital Sex

The “Flea” explains the act of intimacy does not matter whether it is

performed before or after marriage. Another important detail that it is not

only used as comparison but it is also a symbol of innocence. The Flea, is

commonly interpreted as indecent and there is a reason behind the plain and

“indecent” language in the poem. The poem central theme lies around the

subject of pre-marital sex. It challenges the traditional view that couples

should only consummate after marriage.

Topic: Premarital Sexual Relationships: Explanation of the actions and

functions of Family

Sexual behaviours of adolescents and youth are categorized as one of

the main health priorities of a society because of high prevalence of human

immunodeficiency virus /acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (HIV/AIDS),

sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and unwanted pregnancies. Family is

an important environment that is associated with a range of social and

emotional behaviours of children.

Notes and Findings:

The pre- marital sex is more widely especially in western countries.

Pre-marital sex is penetrative vaginal intercourse performed between

couples before formal marriage. World Health Organizations (WHO) defines

adolescent as person between the age group of 10-19 years old. Adolescence

is the period of transmission from childhood to maturity and is characterized

by spat of physical, mental, emotional, social and psychological development.

They are doing the sexual intercourse because they want to experience, and

they want to payment example the prostitute. the Pre – marital sex is they

do sex even though they are not married. Youth who begin early pre-marital

sexual activity are more likely to be engaged in unsafe sex. Early sexual debut

puts them at increased risk for acquiring or transmitting sexually transmitted

infections, including HIV; and make them highly vulnerable to unwanted

pregnancy and its consequences

Chapter V

SUMMARY, CONCLUSIONS, AND RECOMMENDATION

Summary

In some cultures the meaning of premarital sex has traditionally been related to

the virginity concept. Unlike virginity, however, premarital sex can relate to more than one

sexual activity occasion or more than one sex partner. The researcher used a quantitative

method and survey questionnaire to gather data on the selected students in Camp General

Emilio Aguinaldo High School. In summary, students are aware on pre-marital sex and the

reason why students attempt to try sexual activity is curiosity, they wanted to experience it.

Pre-marital sex can affect studies because it can lead to early pregnancy so it’s necessary to

educated students regarding pre-marital sex. Some students attempted to try it and some of

them all

Conclusion

prevents future emotional strain or possible break-ups or divorce. It is also important to

educate students about premarital sex so that they do not engage in sexual activity ready

engage with it. In conclusion, having premarital sex should not be encouraged in any form.

Teens who also indulge in this practice may also unknowingly or worse let their education fail

and develop fear, as in the case of sexually active female teens, get unwanted teenage

pregnancy. On the other hand, having sex inside of marriage

Recommendations
Given the findings of the study, a number of recommendations are put forward. First,

age-and culture-appropriate sexuality and reproductive health education should be fully

implemented by trained and gender-sensitive teachers and health service providers. To

encourage young people to delay their sexual initiation, these education programs should

address issues such as gender stereotyping, masculinity, and gender-based violence. Modules

on values formation and negotiation and life skills for the youth in terms of reproductive,

sexual, and health rights can assist in this endeavor. Leading agencies should engage other

stakeholders and members of the community, especially the parents, toward holistic policy and

program implementation targeting the idle youth. The group of young people is not only held

hostage to the cycle of poverty and crime, but is also more predisposed to health and social

risks such as STIs and HIV.

One way to address this issue programmatically is to encourage abstinence until these

young people gain the maturity and responsibility to practice safe sex to prevent early

pregnancy. Campaigns for the promotion of abstinence and healthy and safe romantic

relationships among young people should therefore be intensified. These campaigns should

be a concerted effort among all sectors, to be led by youth leader in schools, faith based

organization, youth organization, traditional media and social media networks.
