Let us assume that you will be making your own website for your ICT project
for social change or advocacy. Answer each question in 3 to 5 sentences.
If you will be making a website for your ICT project for social change or advocacy, how
will you attract people to visit it? (5 points)

By building an Engaged Community, most organizations working for social change


have plenty of volunteer opportunities. The internet makes finding people to take on
those opportunities far easier than ever before, they can share their concerns to seek
you out online. Likewise, you can find them through online message boards and
social media posts and volunteers are just one way you can get people involved.
Through an active online presence, you can build an engaged, worldwide network of
volunteers, activists, donors, and concerned citizens. There is no longer have to rent
out community space to bring people together, you can do so online.

What contents are you going to include to make your website interesting and
interactive at the same time? (5 points)

Ask for Ratings, asking for audience feedback, whether through ratings or comments,
is a great step in driving user interaction. Encourage with Gamification and Rewards,
gamifying your website encourage users to interact with your site by giving them an
incentive to engage. In addition to generating user comments with calls to action, you
can also get users to comment by providing rewards, once users get points or
coupons for commenting on articles, they’re motivated to read and comment even
further. Encourage Reader Feedback, when it comes to encouraging comments from
the audience, it often isn’t enough to just open a comments section. Instead, by using
creative calls to action to drive your users to make comments, these can range from
telling your readers to respond to a question you pose at the end of your post, to
asking your readers to add to your post’s numbered list.

How will you maintain your social advocacy website? (5 points)


By continuously growing your supporter list it can maintain social advocacy websites
because supporters are the lifeblood of any organization. Making all actions shareable
is a way to grow your supporter list because we’re all highly influenced by others, and
shifts in public opinion are often tipped by a critical mass of easily influenced
individuals. This is because people pretty much do whatever their friends are doing,
which is why your content must be shareable. Creating compelling content, providing
sign-up pages and making online actions to be credible so that people will take part
and share it with their friends is another way to maintain social advocacy websites. In
addition, find and thank your messengers, look for those who are spreading the word
and influencing their profession or community and thank them for being an advocate
and getting to know them, especially if they are bloggers can help the growth of our
support list.
