INTRODUCTION
PAHAL is a voluntary organization promoted by like-minded
Educationists, Doctors, Legal experts, Technocrats, Dynamic
entrepreneurs, enthusiastic students, and, effervescent youth to bring
a perceptible change in the present social set-up enthusiasts
Endeavour for a better tomorrow. PAHAL expresses the essence of
living and upholds the need to appreciate the other man’s point of
view and to show consideration for fellow human beings. It also
holds that the welfare of an individual is ultimately dependent on the
area of society.
CERTIFICATE
 IDENTIFICATION OF PROBLEMS AND CAUSE

1) Illiteracy affects an individual in all areas of their life. An illiterate

individual cannot read nor write, and thus cannot join the workforce or may
work as a laborer to make an informed decision that affects them and their
community.

Causes: Lack of affordable education facilities: Those who live in very remote areas
with few, or no education facilities may remain illiterate. The nearest school might be
found several miles away. Instead of going through the tiresome process of walking
for long distances daily just to go to school, many choose to stay at home. Lack of
access to education facilities in rural areas has contributed a lot to the high number of
illiterate people in these places.

2)Poverty:

Poor parents with low incomes

find it difficult to pay school fees. They

are forced to choose between providing
basic needs such as food, shelter, and
clothing and taking their children to
school. In countries where basic education
is not free, the number of children who do
not go to school tends to be higher
compared to places where basic education
is free and mandatory.
3) LACK OF BASIC NEEDS:

A need is something essential for our

survival. In order, People need food, water, shelter, and energy. Many people
around the globe lack basic human rights such as the right to receive an
education, be treated fairly by others, and live in a safe place. Causes: Poverty
is the lack of basic human needs, such as clean water, nutrition, health care,
education, clothing, and shelter, because of the inability to afford them. human
dignity. It means a lack of a basic capital city to participate effectively in
society. When people are in a state of poverty, they lack the resources to cover
their basic needs such as food, water, and shelter.

HUNGER, MALNUTRITION, AND STUNTING:

You might think that poverty causes hunger (and you would be right!), but
hunger is also a cause and maintainer of poverty. If a person doesn’t get
enough food, they’ll lack the strength and energy needed to work (or their
immune system will weaken from malnutrition and leave them more
susceptible to illness that prevents them from getting to work). The first 1,000
days of a child’s life (from womb to the world) are key the o ensuring their
future health and likelihood of staying out of poverty.

If a mother is malnourished during pregnancy, that can be passed on to her

children, leading to wasting (low weight for height) or stunting (low height for
age). Child stunting, both physical and cognitive, can lead to a lifetime of
impacts: Adults who were stunted as children earn, on average, 22% less than
those who weren’t stunted. In Ethiopia, stunting contributes to GDP losses as
high as 16%.

4) POOR HEALTHCARE SYSTEMS — ESPECIALLY FOR MOTHERS AND

CHILDREN

Extreme poverty and poor health often go hand in hand. In countries where
health systems are weak, easily preventable and treatable illnesses like
malaria, diarrhea, and diarrheal infections can be fatal, especially for young
children. And when people must travel far distances to clinics or pay for
medicine, it drains already vulnerable households of money and assets and can
tip a family from poverty into extreme poverty.

For some women, pregnancy and childbirth can be a death sentence. In many
of the countries where Concern works, access to quality maternal healthcare is
poor. Pregnant and lactating mothers face a multitude of barriers when
seeking care, from not being allowed to go to a clinic without a male
chaperone to receiving poor or even abusive care from a doctor. This is
especially true for adolescent girls aged 18 and under, leaving mothers-to-be
and their children at increased risk for disease and death.

5) LITTLE OR NO ACCESS TO CLEAN WATER, SANITATION, AND

HYGIENE

Currently, more than 2 billion people don’t have access to clean water at
home. This means that people (which is to say, women and girls) collectively
spend some 200 million hours every day walking long distances to fetch
water. That’s precious time that could be used working or getting an education
to help secure a job later in life.

 OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT:

 Help children with basic literacy skills (reading, comprehension, and

writing) so they are engaged with stories and new ideas and develop skills
of self-expression.
 Build foundational skills in math and logical reasoning so that our young
learners can understand and apply relevant concepts in their everyday
lives.

 Work with children on developing and honing critical social-emotional

skills and attitudes such as curiosity, perseverance, resilience, problem-
solving, self-advocacy, empathy, self-esteem, and teamwork.

 By associating with government-run schools for improving education

standards through better methods including audio-visuals etc.

 PAHAL PROGRAM DESIGN

The program is designed on the CASEL Model (Collaborative for Academic,
Social and Emotional Learning) and primarily focuses on:

PAHAL Objectives and goals are set for them to be implemented in terms of
action. This NGO had done an astonishing job in bringing its intentions into
action through various campaigns which is nothing less than realizing the full
potential of the Internet – universal access to research and education. Through
the internet, PAHAL can influence an enormous number of helping
contributors who were willing to provide funds for our various campaigns,
especially the most recent campaign “Harr Gao Sikshit Banega” which was for
the benefit of child education with the highest amount of funds which has ever
made.

 VARIOUS ACTIONS TAKEN BY PAHAL TO ACHIEVE ITS

OBJECTIVE AND THEIR SUPPORTIVE DOCUMENTS:

1) EDUCATION: Having an education in an area helps people think,

feel, and behave in a way that contributes to their success, and
improves not only their personal satisfaction but also their community.
In addition, education

develops human personality, thoughts, and dealing with others and

prepares people for life experiences. PAHAL Foundation provides
education to poor children as their priority.
“EDUCATION HAS NO LIMIT”

 Education - Your Door to The Future.

Going to school is happy for any poor child so education is always a priority issue.
Power outages in communities across.

2) HUNGER-FREE INDIA: Hunger-free India is an initiative taken by

PAHAL to fight against poverty and hunger in India. By taking small

steps like collecting excess food for parties and functions, thousands of
poor and hungry children can be fed in a day. PAHAL make sure to
conduct food drive event more frequently. This is a picture of recent Food
that took place.

 Hunger Free India

This distribution drive was instrumental in providing food to hundreds of
underprivileged people across Patna. With Love, I was happy to have played a
little part in this big mission.

3) SAVE ENVIRONMENT AND TREES: Trees help in maintaining the

ecological balance of the earth by emission of Oxygen, and absorption of
Carbon dioxide. The most important benefits of trees are: It helps the
environment to provide an enormous amount of oxygen and reduce toxic
carbon dioxide, nitrogen dioxide, sulfur dioxide, and pollutants by absorbing
them. We make sure to plan many trees tree as we can to save our Earth.
donation drive. It is always a great pride for us to provide shelter and clothing
to the underprivileged.

5) Healthcare Project: PAHAL also provide healthcare facilities to the

poor and needy people because the medical project has a lot of importance
like Increasing the standard of care by changing the procedures that are
used to provide treatment. We have conducted several dental campaigns
etc. Here are the pictures below,
 Medical Project - We Care Always.
While the health statistics of rural India continue to be poor, the health status
and access to health for the poor in urban slum dwellers have surfaced to be
equally deplorable and have less than 4% of government primary healthcare
facilities.

6) Save water Save Life: PAHAL runs a campaign called save water
save a life because water is very essential for the survival of the human
race. Of the 71% of water, only a small portion is available for drinking.
Thus, it is crucial to save water. Water should be conserved because the
supply is less; the requirement is increasing with the increasing
population.

Being a socially responsible and environmentally conscious brand launched Save Water
Campaign. Let us together make the world a better place to live for the generations to
come.

 “INNOVATIVENESS AND THE UNIQUENESS OF THE PROJECT

UNDERTAKEN BY NGO”

1)‘Health Care:
• Children succumb to diseases and infection because of malnourishment -In
India, lakhs of infants & children succumb to diarrhea, pneumonia, and/or
infection every year. For children five years or younger, close to 40% (38.7%)
are stunted (below normal height for the age), 19.8% are wasted (underweight
and short) and 42.4% are underweight. The data set revealed by the latest NFHS-
4 stated that 40 out of 1000 infants don’t make it past their first year.

• For these children the NGO has taken initiative by providing high-energy &
nutritious meals to malnourished children to improve their Mid-Upper Arm
Circumference, which is used as an assessment of nutritional status

2)Education:

• Lack of basic infrastructure and learning material : Many schools don’t have
separate toilets for girls, which results in a considerable drop in girl students.
Most students, especially girls are also intimidated by the long-distance commute
to the school from their homes. Government schools struggle with proper
infrastructure.

• Right to education has helped slum children get educated. This has benefited
them by giving them various opportunities. Education helps them get a better
career and hence helps in increasing their income. This helps them to sustain
themselves as well as their respective families.

• NGO has taken initiative to support girls’ education and completion of Higher
Secondary education through community education and demanded the
government the separate toilets.

2) ‘Basic need for Food’:

• Children suffer from lack of, food and necessities are denied to children
during a crisis:

Children are subjected to some of the harshest living conditions during an

emergency. Lack of food, and medical aid is the bitter reality of lakhs of children
and families during a humanitarian crisis.

• Through By the campaign No Hungry Child NGO took initiative in t not only
distributing meals but also providing funding to other registered NGOs to cook
and serve free food to the poor. They began with 250 children and today cover
over 5000 children in 6 cities. The project places a strong emphasis on hygiene
and ensures that the kitchens, cooking staff, and places of eating the children
themselves follow strict cleanliness practices.

 “Effectiveness of the Project undertaken by the

NGO.”
1) EDUCATION- PAHAL strengthening the Education System for the
poor and needy people. Our NGO plays a significant role in ensuring that
every child especially the poor receives the opportunity to build a better
future through education. It helps enroll children in school under the
Right to Education Act (RTE). For children who have dropped out and
missed a few years of schooling, they provide them with gap classes that
help them get enrolled in their age-appropriate grades.

PAHAL Foundation provides functional assistance, food, books, stationery,

uniforms, midday meals, and other needs during natural calamities.

2) POVERTY- PAHAL runs massive awareness, sensitization, and

development programs to end the factors that trigger poverty. They also
execute on-ground initiatives to empower communities. Hunger-free

in India. By taking small steps like collecting excess food for parties and
functions, thousands of poor and hungry children can be fed in a day.
3) SAVE ENVIRONMENT AND TREES: Trees improve our air quality
by filtering harmful dust and pollutants such as ozone, carbon monoxide,
and sulfur dioxide from the air we breathe. Trees reduce the amount of
stormwater runoff, which reduces erosion and pollution in our waterways
and may reduce the effects of flooding.

PAHAL has one more aim the greatest gift we can contribute to our mother earth is
by planting trees and nourishing the earth with the goodness of plants.
