The sun is shining .The smell of strawberries is in the air .Greg Martinez is a

greengrocer at the farmers’ market in New York city .He is selling fresh fruit

and vegetables .On his farm ,he grows potatoes ,apples ,lettuce ,and

carrots .People are looking ,tasting and buying .

Why do many people go to the farmers’ market ? The food is fresh and tastes

great .The lovely smell is everywhere .Farmers’ markets often have many new

and different kinds of foods .For example ,there are white potatoes and yellow

potatoes. The prices are good, too. Also many shoppers like to talk to the

farmers about the food they grow .It’s fun to go to the farmers’ market!
