I. PROJECT TITLE: SPORTS FEST OF BARANGGAY SINUBSUBAN

VI. PROJECT BACKGROUND:

Most youths are ready to defy some of the challenges prevailing in the world today such as
unemployment and economic hardship, which has reduced them to the level of desperation. Most of them
have given up hopes and have buried their talents and indulge in activities such as drug abuse,
prostitution, gangsterism and banditry. It can therefore not be argued that idleness breeds crime and
other numerous malpractices that can only lead to the destruction of individuals and their communities.
The talents in basketball, volleyball and athletics in Sinubsuban abound. This project proposal also seeks
to build youth capacity in these domains through partnership with training institutions and centers. We
therefore believe that it is an urgent need to build an academy that shall provide the training ground for
young sport men and women.

VII. OBJECTIVES:

 Creating a community and sustainable academy in order to develop basketball, volleyball and
other sport in Barangay Sinubsuban
 Engaging young people in physical and moral Education with a view to reducing crime rate, drug
abuse as well as the fight against HIV/AIDS.
 Training young people in the sustainable management of bio-diversities and environmental
protection

VIII. EVALUATION:

The importance of this project lies also in the anticipated outcome and the benefits would be multi-
dimensional.

This proposal aims to help the
community by dedicating
efforts to clean while
instilling environment
awareness among community
members.
At the end of the project, the
members should able to:
1. Dedicate efforts for the
cleanliness of the community;
2. Identify the importance of
maintaining cleanliness;
3. Recognize the role of the
members of the community in
maintaining their
community’s cleanliness; and
4. Evaluate their participation in
the cleanliness drive.
