A SECRET FEY FOUNTAIN Encounter

ENTERING THE DEN
Access to the secret fey fountain is never guaranteed,
but fey crossings exist underneath oversized lily
pads, beyond a misty waterfall, or when submerged
in verdant green ponds. When first arriving here,
communicate the following:
The water shifts around and below you. Suddenly,
you’re submerged and spun about, the water’s surface
appearing ahead of you. You aren’t where you were
before. Far from it. Instead there is a grand, water filled
chamber, oversized lily pads scatter the surface. Pristine
white and gold stone pillars support the cavernous
ceiling. At the head of the room, a pond-lily inspired
throne unfurls to reveal a reclined humanoid who smiles
softly.
CREATURE
Sayana of Ponds (Chaotic neutral, she/her, Green
Hag) has disguised her appearance to appear as an
eladrin, styled after an ever shifting pond-lily. She
is fickle but fair, assuming people play along with
her games. This fountain is Sayana’s home and she
amuse herself with whoever stumbles inside - via
tricks or treats.

FEY TRICKS
Sayana cannot help her fey nature, she wants to trick
any who enter her den. She might ask the party any
one of the following questions:
◆ May I have your name? - Answering yes gives
Sayana control over them.
◆ Would you care for some water? - Answering
yes forces the creature to stay and care for the
fountain.
◆ Please, will you lend me your ear? - Answering yes
allows Sayana to permanently hear through the
character’s ear.
FEY TREATS
If Sayana takes a liking to the party, through general
conversion or a successful Charisma (Persuasion)
check (DC 20), she might offer to bestow a temporary
treat from the following:
◆ Fey Kiss - For the next 24 hours, you have the
ability to cast Charm Person once per short rest.
The target makes the Wisdom saving throw at
disadvantage.
◆ Fey Tongue - For the next 24 hours, the creature
has advantage on all Charisma checks and saving
throws.
◆ Fey Feet - For the next 24 hours, the creature can
access paths through the Feywild to expedite any
travel through forests or woodlands.
