Do you agree with the current S&T policies/thrusts/agenda of the government? Why or why not?

Choose one policy and assess/evaluate its possible impact to nation building.

I strongly agree with the current S&T policies/thrusts/agenda of the government. Why? Because the government have
plans, goals, and aims to improve and accelerate science and technology in our country especially for the people it to
make their lives even better. One of the current policies is the Economic policy.

Economic policy refers to those actions or plan created and provided by the government to stabilize and develop the
economic status of the country both in domestic and international sector. Through the good implementation or
effective implementation of economic policies to a certain country, it can influence and control the economic behavior
of the country in a positive way. It means there will be a good impact towards nation building because such policy can
contribute to the development and progress of the country. Without the existing policy, there is a tendency that a
country cannot manage and supervise well all the transactions inside and outside of the country which will result to a
different kinds of economic and social problems like increasing unemployment rate, improper management of scarce
resources that may lead to poverty, hunger, starvation and low performances of the citizens. Economic policies
involve decisions made by the government spending and taxation, about the proper and equal distribution of income
and resources from rich to poor, the law of demand and supply, market integration which can provide a lot of
opportunities to the people and supply of money. Without this policy, there will be a huge impact as to the living set
up of the people, some will be mismanage that will affect their daily lives and duty and obligation to the society, I
mean it will affect their functions towards nation building. Example: if there will be no economic policy for laborers
that result to small opportunities so basically those people on the top or in high class will have more advantage and
those in lower class will going to depend more to the government that will limit their potentials to exceed and
contribute to the society. Like also those minority group, if the government does not implement a economic policy that
indicating their function to the society or giving them equal rights and opportunities, their effort and existence will
never be developed and will never be appreciated in the community. The same as well those women, when the
government implemented equal access for women in jobs and works as indicated in economic policy, they are giving a
lot of opportunities to excel and contribute their talents towards nation building.
