From the Vision, Mission, and Goals of the University Statements, which one relates to
the study of the course? Copy that statement below. Discuss your personal role
expectations on how you can contribute for its attainment.

1. Part of CTU System, Main Campus Vision, Mission, and Goals

Being a student of Cebu Technological University I must be a scientifically and


technologically oriented human that equipped with appropriate knowledge, skills, and
attitudes. In relates to our subject GEE-FE Functional English in such a way by
communicating and understanding other people, even harder, despites of language
barriers that we have. To have an effective communication we need to have knowledge
by using the fundamental skills of communication such as listening, speaking, reading,
and writing. To need to equip good attitude by actively listening so that, we will be able
to understand what a person is trying to say and response it appropriately.

2. I personally expect to be part of its attainment by:

Being a student of this institution I expect to be part of this attainment by creating and
sharing ideas, information, views, facts, feelings, etc. among the people to a reach
common understanding. As a future educator, I need to be prepared at all times in
adapting new knowledge and to educate more about the ethical communication which
helps to become a better and effective communicator with a heart. To be a good
teacher, one must not only be about one’s subject and be able to teach it and like one’s
classes one must also be good – the kind persons, students can respect and admire,
and to talk.

3. I would like to succeed in this program by (personal commitment):

By enhancing my skills in communicating to the other people especially when having a


presentation or reporting in class I must be prepared and always remember to learn not
only how to make a living, but how to make a life, not only to get something in life, but to
become someone. We need to value our potentials and formed to develop a sense of
duty and purpose; a sense of personal, civic, and moral responsibility. Lastly, to equip
the individual with functional knowledge, values, and attitudes, and skills needed to
cope with the changes using a modernizing Philippine society. Developing good
attitude inside and outside of the school.
