A BARANGAY RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE IMPLEMENTATION OF BRIGADA ESKWELA

AND BRIGADA PAGBASA OF THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION IN THE BARANGAY OF
SALVACION, BALUD, MASBATE

Whereas, the Department of Education (DepED)- Schools Division of Masbate Province launches
Brigada Eskwela as its annual school maintenance program aimed to engaged all education stakeholders
to participate and contribute their time and effort, and resources to prepare public schools for the opening
of classes and ensure the safety and well-being of learners, teachers, and non-teaching personnel.

Whereas, Brigada Eskwela also engages stakeholders to participate in numeracy and literacy
related programs such as Brigada Pagbasa and Pagbilang which will be conducted before the opening of
classes or after class hours this August 22, 2022 in order to improve the reading and counting skills and
develop a culture of reading and counting among learners from Kindergarten to Grade 10;

Whereas, the Barangay Local Government of Salvacion, Balud, Masbate recognizes that it has an
activerole in Brigada Eskwela pursuant to the adage that says “it takes a village to raise a child” and that
it also affirms the Brigada Eskwela is not only for the improvement of schools but also for the inculcation
of positive values, cooperation, and unity among students and the entire community members to be
productive citizens in the society.

Whereas, Section 390, of RA 7160 otherwise known as the Local Government Act of 1991, the
Sangguniang Barangay, the legislative body of the barangay, shall enact ordinances approve resolutions,
and appropriate funds for the general welfare of the barangay and its inhabitant pursuant to Section 391
(a) (1).
 Whereas, The Barangay Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious
Diseases (IATF) shall ensure the safety and well-being of learners, teachers, stakeholders, and volunteers
by conducting monitoring during Brigada Eskwela, Brigada Pagbasa and Brigada Pagbilang activities and
issuances of health protocols depending on the prevailing health situation in the barangay.

NOW THEREFORE, on motion of Kagawad Marites S. Boholst duly seconded by Kagawad

Mailyn B. Montalvo and concurred by the members present; BE IT:

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED to support the implementation of Brigada

Eskwela, Brigada Pagbasa, and Brigada Pagbilang of the Department of Education- Schools Division of
Masbate Province including its activities during planning stage, actual implementation, monitoring and
evaluation a post assessment stage.

RESOLVED FINALLY,to furnish copy of this resolution to the office of the Barangay Captain of
this barangay, the Department of Education- Schools Division of Masbate Province, Balud North District,
and to the office of the Schol Head of Salvacion Integrated School.
