DISCUSS HOW ACCIDENT CAN BE SIMILAR TO AN INCIDENT OR VICE

VERSA.

- Accident and Incident are different to each other but there are areas in which
they are same. To identify their identical characteristic, we should first know their
definitions. Accident is any unexpected event that causes injury or harm
meanwhile incident is an unexpected event that causes no harm. From the latter
statement, we can say that both accident and incident are events that happen
unanticipated. They are also similar in a way that both of them can be prevented
if safety actions and procedures will be practiced. In a site, for example,
accidents and incidents can be reduced if the employees wear protective gears
such as protective hats, goggles, gloves, and facemasks.

2. CAN A HACCP ACCREDITATION HELP A LOT IN PRODUCING A GOOD

QUALITY PRODUCTS, JUSTIFY YOUR ANSWER.

- Accreditation from (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) HACCP will help the
company to be reliable and credible. Having an accreditation means you meet
the legal obligations. Product safety management systems point product-based
businesses in the right directions. With the help of these various methods, you
may continue to place a strong emphasis on quality and safety. This suggests
that the quality of your product is generally higher. HACCP accreditation will also
help to promote efficiency within the team and boost the employee’s morale.

3. IF YOU BE WORKING IN A MANUFACTURING COMPANY AS A

PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR AND YOU HAD SEEN IN THE PLANT SOME
AREAS THAT ARE UNSAFE, HOW CAN YOU HANDLE THE SITUATION.

- As a production supervisor, the one in charge of planning and carrying out daily
production tasks, typically for a certain skill set within a project in a manufacturing
company, I can talk to the board of directors or the upper positions regarding the
unsafe areas in the plant. I will explain to them the importance of removing
hazardous areas. I will stand by my decision that is a MUST to eradicate the
unsafe place and give suggestions on how to do it.

4. DISCUSS FIVE CAUSES AND EFFECTS OF ACCIDENTS

- Five Cause of Accidents includes ignorance of safety-related issues, a lack of

personal protective equipment, a lack of safety hazards eliminating design, an
unfit piece of equipment, and a lack of information and training about the piece of
equipment. Loss of human life, worker demotivation/morale decline, workplace
conflict, lost productivity on projects, and a delay in work progress are among the
five effects of an accident.

5. EXPLAIN HOW CAN YOU SAY THAT YOU ARE SAFE.

- I can say that I am safe if I am wearing properly a protective gear, if there are
no unnecessary things on the area, if the workplace is clean, and if the company
is complying with OSHA. The site should have a policy of “dirty man in and clean
man out” policy. Product labels should be placed properly and first aid kit/areas
should be readily available.
