Students Performance

Our total class average is a 66%, which tells me that my class needs more help. The

material that is being presented is not being comprehended very well, therefore I need to make

sure that as a class everyone is grasping the lesson and material that is being taught. Some of

my students are doing well and showing me that they understand the material based off their

grade average.

Juan currently has an A and earned 100% in both addition and subtraction, which shows

me that he is excelling. Another one of my students Hugh has a class average of 80%. He

received a 100% in addition and 80% in subtraction. Although he is doing well in subtraction it

would not hurt to review what he has trouble on. Same with my student Jack, with a class

average of 80%, earning both 80% in addition and subtraction. I would like to review the

material with both Hugh and Jack for them to have a better understanding of the math

problems.

The students that I will spend most of my time with are Patrick, Nathan, and Luke.

Patrick has a class average of 47%, earning a 60% in addition and 40% in subtraction. Nathan

also has an overall grade of 47%, and only a 40% in both addition and subtraction. Lastly, Luke

has the lowest class average being 40%, and 40% in both addition and subtraction. I will be

spending more time on both topics with these students, as their grades show that they are not
grasping the material and need help for better understanding to earn a passing grade. Looking

at the average scores as a class and individually, as a teacher it is my job to adjust my lesson

plans and delivery, making sure that students are comprehending the information.
