the cultural differences that prevail in the North American business environment.

that culture: as the main point of this third step, what unites us to all the
countries in a way is the cultural part on how each system of
government, traditions, languages and above all the way in which the

Canadian culture has is the basis that they are very noble, kind,
respectful and have great traditions that they want to develop very
frequently in said country, just as it has many variants since people love
to go to Canada. for its large territories and landscapes, as are the
people of Europe and that it has a great global link by receiving all kinds
of citizens, whether Mexican, European, American, among others, The
Canadian constitution recognizes three broad categories of Aboriginal
peoples: Indians (commonly known as First Nations), Métis, and Inuit.

4. Now let's suppose you are trying to sell a product to a foreign
potential customer in the US or Canada (depending on your choice
in point 2). Define and develop a personal strategy to deal with that
culture in a business environment (you can use some of the
recommendations presented in this article).

As we chosed Canada in point 2. We did research about its business


environment. We made a list of the most important aspects to consider while doing
business in that country.

-Language: Canada's official languages are English and french. If we want to sell a
product in there we have to consider that all prepackaged products sold in canada
are subject to stringent labeling requirements such as the basic products information
have to be provided in both languages, specially if our product is going to be sell on
quebec cities, it must be on french.

-International trade: Customs duties and taxes will apply on goods imported into
Canada unless reduced or eliminated pursuant to a free trade agreement. In order
for goods to be eligible to take advantage of the North America Free Trade
Agreement or the potential successor agreement, the United States Mexico Canada
Agreement (USMCA), or other similar free trade agreements, they must satisfy
certain "rules of origin".

● There are numerous restrictions on exporting goods from Canada depending


on the type of goods in question. Controlled products include wheat and
barley, certain meat and dairy products, sugar-containing products,
margarine, peanut butter, certain cultural property, military and strategic
goods and technologies including certain software, US origin goods and
technology, firearms, softwood lumber, steel, textiles and clothing, hazardous
materials and certain wild plants and animals

-The Province of Quebec is a civil law jurisdiction. Quebec is not adjusted to


canadas general laws, they have their own laws and restrictions for they province.

● The private law of Quebec is primarily based on the written Civil Code of
Québec, which applies to all property and private civil matters. The Civil Code
of Québec will enforce unwritten contracts, partnerships and warranties, and
will imply certain contractual terms and obligations on contracting parties.
● The Charter of the French Language mandates French as the official
language of business and commerce in Quebec. In the workplace, all working
documents must be available in French. If marketing materials are in French
and another language, the French version must be displayed at least as
predominantly as the other language (i.e. the "equal prominence" rule).
Commercial advertising (i.e. signage, posters, and billboards), on the other
hand, is subject to the "markedly predominant" rule.
