Use complete sentences to explain why you chose to read a article about this
particular topic. Give details.
I selected this article because as a student I often read books and articles every day. I spend
time reading to make myself calmer and more focused. When I saw this article I was very
interested and felt that the author is almost the same as me that reading can be self-
healing.

Using complete sentences, explain the author’s purpose for writing this article.
Give examples from the article to show your knowledge of the content.
The author aims to inform the reader that reading can make you feel mentally healthier and
of course you will increase your knowledge. "If there is a term that is healthy starting from
the mind, reading may be one of the therapies. Of course, not only physically healthy, but
also mentally healthy."

Choose FIVE of the most interesting or exciting chapters or events in the article. Describe
each one and state why you found each one interesting. USE COMPLETE SENTENCES.

Describe Event #1 (with details)

Reading is like healing my mind. It is difficult to explain, for example, when the mood is
falling, reading a book or novel makes optimism rise again.
I found this chapter/event interesting because for me that event is very true. Almost all of
us will have something that causes us to burn out. Well, reading or writing can be a healing
medium for psychological problems. In the world of psychology that I have read, writing and
reading are indeed one of the therapies that can be done independently.

Describe Event #2 (with details)

Now the activity of reading is so accommodated, through gadgets and social media, there
are quality readings that can be accessed.
I found this chapter/event interesting because with social media you can find the readings
you need, such as articles or other books. So you don't need to feel dizzy to find a place to
read because with social media you can read anywhere and anytime.

Describe Event #3 (with details)

Reading makes our brain active: digesting, studying, questioning to imagining. Reading is like
a game with our own minds, through the dictions made by the author.
I found this chapter/event interesting because the more you read, the more enlightened a
person's mind will be. More knowledge can improve the way of thinking and expand its
reach. When reading, a person's imagination can be stimulated because the right side of the
brain is more active. It can also improve connectivity in the brain and improve brain
function.

Describe Event #4 (with details)

Reading a book is like a dialogue, sometimes we agree, sometimes we deny it. The dialogue
takes place in our own mind space.
I found this chapter/event interesting because that's what it's called reading. Different
authors have different reading content. Sometimes we do not agree with what the author
wrote because we have our thoughts as well as the author. With this disagreement, our
brain will continue to actively think and think about our own words and dialogue will occur
in our mind space.

Describe Event #5 (with details)

If there is a healthy term originating from the mind, reading may be one of the therapies. Of
course not only physically healthy, but also mentally healthy.
I found this chapter/event interesting because
I agree because I think that reading is one way that our unhealthy thoughts can make them
better. Sometimes we are prone to stress at school or at work. According to a study
conducted by the University of Sussex, reading can reduce stress levels by up to 68 percent.
In addition, reading can strengthen memory and reduce the risk of Alzheimer's.
