Training objectives for this course

• To create a basic awareness of the risks of working


on or close to electrical circuits or equipment
• To explain the Nokia lifesaving rule on Electrical Safety and the principle whereby only
competent electrical workers can undertake electrical work
• To introduce the key elements of Nokia’s global Electrical Safety Standard and the different
electrical environments we encounter on-site and in our offices
• To learn about the risks associated with working on or near electricity
• How to identify and avoid electrical risks, reporting if you observe electrical issues, and what
to do if you come across an individual who may have suffered an electric shock
• Keeping safe in areas where electrical work is taking place
• The importance of Nokia’s principle of the “right to refuse” and what it means
