Problem Statement

In this exercise, you are required to perform all the given tasks.

Tasks:

1) Select a sites from Flippa ,bizbuysell, BizQuest. Search for E-Commerce business to buy from these sites
(Pets, Cars, Fashion, Travel etc ). Provide a screenshot. (2.5 Marks)

2) Define the main important factors of any website before buying it. Provide screenshot of main factors

Site Age/Domain Age:


Site Age/Domain Age is the amount of time a domain has been in existence since it was first registered.
This is one of the most important Google ranking factors, which is why many people believe that the older
the site, the higher the search results should be.

Monthly Profit/Worth:
The total monthly profit is referred to as gross monthly revenue. This can be estimated by monthly pages
views , unique visitors , clicks on website and other related parameters. For business ,it excludes discounts
for damaged items or customer returns. Net monthly revenue is obtained by deducting these and similar
items from gross monthly revenue.
Pages Views:
The total number of pages viewed is referred to as pageviews. Views of a single page that are repeated are
counted. The following definition is provided by Google Analytics' support site: A pageview (or pageview
hit, page tracking hit) is the act of loading (or reloading) a page in a browser.
Inventory size:
Inventory usually refers to the stock of your products. It means how much stock a website owns.
Asking price:
The asking price is the amount a business owner expects a buyer to pay to buy his company.
3) What will be your bid price (buying price) if you plan to buy any business how you reach this decision.

Bid Price:
A bid price is the price at which someone is willing to buy a business. So this offered price is called bid
price.
So now for example , Alex wishes to purchase a company ABC. The stock is currently trading between
$10 and $15. However, Alex is unwilling to pay more than $12 for them, so they place a limit order for
ABC's shares at $12.
This price offered by Alex is called bid , and before this price offer Alex will check the site age , monthly
profit , inventory size,visitors rate and other relevant parameters for a good bid offer.
4) How will you increase the monthly profit of this business if you purchase it (e.g SEO, Social Media
marketing . email marketing , product hunting/listing etc). (2.5 Marks)
For an e-commerce business , we have to optimize some important factors to increase our sales and
monthly profit.
SEO/Website speed optimization:
Search engine optimization is the most important factor for any online business, SEO will help us improve
website traffic and visitors.
Speed optimization for an online website based business is a very essential part to increase monthly profit
of an online business. By this factor we can increase monthly traffic and page visits.

Product Listing/Product Hunting:
Product hunting is the most important factor for an E-commerce business. Product hunting refers to
analyzing current market trends in order to identify "hunted products" that will generate high sales. The
idea is to look for products that are inexpensive to obtain and then sell at competitive prices with a high
profit margin.

Advertisement/Email Marketing:
With the help of advertisements , we can grow our business very smoothly. We can join different social
media advertising campaigns also we can use online advertising tools e.g Google Ads etc.
Email marketing is a direct marketing strategy in which a commercial message is sent to a group of people
via Email. By previous survey studies , this strategy is very helpful to grow business online.
