DAFE Objectives

1. apply engineering principles particularly in the solution of


problems related to agro-industrial development;
2. conduct relevant researches and development activities in
the field of agricultural engineering;
3. promote the development and transfer of appropriate
agricultural engineering technology;
4. manage agricultural engineering projects and enterprises that
promote environmental preservation and protection; and
5. produce morally, upright professionals with entry-level
competencies

Program Educational Objectives

After three to five years, the graduates of the BSABE Program


shall:
1. provide leadership in planning, implementing, and monitoring
ABE projects and programs;
2. occupy supervisory positions in private and public
organizations; locally and internationally;
3. own and/or manage ABE-based enterprises;
4. pursue advance studies in ABE and emerging related fields;
5. occupy responsible positions in ABE educations; and
6. be morally upright professionals with entry-level competencies.

Graduation

  Students who have finished all the requirements (academic


and thesis) shall be eligible for graduation.

Graduation with Honors

  Cum Laude – GPA of 1.75 or better (not higher than 1.51) in all
academic subjects
  Residence of at least 4 semesters immediately preceding
graduation is a requisite.
  Magna Cum Laude – GPA of 1.50 or better (not higher than
1.26) in all academic subjects
  Residence of at least 6 semesters immediately preceding
graduation is a requisite.
  Summa Cum Laude – GPA of 1.25 or better in all academic
subjects

Admission and Retention

Admission

  For all Engineering courses, the strand taken for their Senior
High should be STEM.
  GPA should be 85% and above in Mathematics, Sciences and
English.
  For transferees, GPA should be 2.0 or better without failing
grades.
  No shiftee shall be admitted for the all the Engineering
Programs after the first year level.

Retention

  For all engineering courses, at the end of the semester:


  GPA should be 2.25 or better
  No failing grades in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

Academic Deficiency

Warning Status

Any student, who at the end of the semester, is found to have


  dropped (DRP) the course
  obtained an incomplete (INC), conditional (4.00), or failing
grades (5.00)
  a combination thereof in 30-50% of the enrolled subjects.
- Said student shall be warned by the College/ University Registrar
- 2 consecutive semesters of falling under the warning status will
place the student on PROBATIONARY status in the succeeding
semester

Probationary Status

Any student who at the end of the semester is found to have


  Dropped the course
  obtained an incomplete (INC), conditional (4.00), or failing
grades (5.00)
  a combination thereof in 51% and above of the enrolled
subjects.
- Academic load of the student shall be limited to 15 units only
- Falling under probationary status for 2 consecutive semesters
will be classified under disqualification status next semester.
- Probationary status can be removed by obtaining a grade of
3.00 in 75% of the enrolled subjects

Disqualification

  Any student who at the end of the semester failed in 75% or


more of the enrolled subjects shall be rendered ineligible to
enroll for one semester.
  Upon enrollment, he/she shall not be allowed to carry an
academic load of 15 units.
  The student who re-enrolled in the university after a
disqualification for a semester should not incur failure in 50% of
the enrolled subjects upon return.
  A student shall only be allowed two disqualification status.
  A student who obtains a grade of INC or 4.00 or a combination
in all of the subjects registered shall be advised to enroll on
residency to complete all the course requirements.
