• Assignment questions help you to guide you through the case.

How to read and prepare the HBC
o Read the case carefully.
o Take notes (or highlight important parts).
o Recognize case situations and apply appropriate tools to solve problems.
o Use theory and tools you have learnt in class.
o If necessary, expand your horizon by apply new concepts and tools (find
your own way).
o Write coherent essay (e.g. structured, use a storyline, argumentation-
based).
o Explain why you used a specific method/tool/theory?
o Explain how you derived to the solution.
o Critically reflect upon your solution in a discussion.
o Use references to back up your recommendations.
o Check formatting, spelling and references.

Important:
-> There is no single solution!
-> There is no wrong and right (as long as you argue, why and how you came
up
with a specific solution – coherent reasoning).
