How to read CFMoto EFI/ECU error codes
Error codes are shown on the red “EFI” light under the tachometer (rev meter). This has a icon overlaid on it
that looks vaguely like a fuel injector spraying some fuel if you use your imagination. When a fault is
detected the light will illuminate for a few seconds then begin displaying a series of long and short flashes.
The long flashes are the first digit of the fault code, the short flashes are the second digit. By counting the
flashes you can figure out what the code is.

Here’s a video of my 650nk showing some errors after getting drenched in torrential rain while riding. This
clip shows a few different errors separated by an extra long flash of the error light:

 28 (2 long, 8 short)
 37 (3 long, 7 short)
 15 (1 long, 5 short)

These particular errors were cleared by disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes. They never did come back,
whatever the cause was.
