 PREFACE

Praise to be God, the creator and sustainer who has given me the strength and
opportunity to complete my Internship report on the topic " Performance
Measurement of Srijony Foundation: A Case Study on Kushtia District "in
Srijony Foundation, Kushtia District for the partial fulfillment of the degree of MSS in
Department of Management which reveals not only read but also realize the subject
deeply and without practical knowledge which has no value. So it is very much
necessary to achieve practical knowledge, experience and clear concept about the
subject. The practical experience also helps the learners to gather new ideas and
technique. From this point of view the Department of Management, Islamic
University, Kushtia has introduced "An Internship Program" in order to obtain
practical knowledge and experience related with different fields of business.

To fulfill this criteria, I had to work the Kushtia Branch in Kushtia. In this study an
observation about three months, I have gathered practical knowledge and experience
of "Performance Measurement of Srijony Foundation: A Case Study on Kushtia
District" in Srijony Foundation."

After all, if this Internship report can satisfy my honorable supervisor K. M. Sharf
Uddin, Assistant Professor, Department of Management, Islamic University, Kushtia,

 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

This research activity is directed for gathering practical knowledge concerning the
poverty alleviation through various effective programs undertaking by Srijony
Foundation. In this report various aspects of this organization are identified with the
main topic concerning poverty alleviation.

Different data regarding micro credit and socio- economic development have been
collected through questionnaire both from the field study of urban and rural areas of
Kushtia district. Secondary data has also been used here. Most of the women are
satisfied in their taking loan and socio-economic development. A very few of them
face problems in paying installment. A few of them break the condition regarding the
purpose of the loan.

If it is considered entirely, it can be said that the performance of Srijony Foundation

regarding poverty alleviation. However, some problems exist in this area and some
suggestions have been given to overcome these problems.
