Pre-Finals Activity

1. I will never ever forget when I first saw a magic trick that was revealed
by a magician Master M, I saw it on a tv 5 before I remembered the name of
the show was “Magic Gimik” hosted by Empoy and Kean Cipreano. In that
show usually the trick that was revealed was stage magic and sometimes there
is also close up magic where I got hook and started practicing it when I was in
Elementary. Suddenly I lost my interest when I was a child but when I was in
Grade 9, I watched a movie called “Now You See Me” then I was inspired by
the movie and little did I know my best friend was a magician and learning
tricks and then he helped and teach me some tricks and up until know I always
have a passion in magic.
2. I got very interested in learning magic which is a skill because it got me
curious and in some point when I was seeing magic I’ve always feel amazed
and I want to know how the trick was done. Magic is a very entertaining skill
that will give smiles to other people. When we are performing street magic we
don’t charge people for our performance. But when we saw their faces that was
amazed by our performance, when we saw the smile on their faces all of our
hard works and practice paid off.
3. As I mentioned earlier my best friend was my first teacher or let’s say
master in magic. He taught me first the basics of magic one of it is what we call
“misdirection” the number 1 fundamentals of magic. As we explore new
learning we browse on the internet such as YouTube and Magic website where
we can learn some tricks and tutorials. Way back 2016 we met magicians at the
Robinsons Bacolod, we ask them if we can join their organization that is
Bacolenos Magikeros. When we auditioned to be a part of their group were
eventually qualified to join and they taught us many things when in terms of
dealing with different kinds of people.
4. Passion, dedication, perseverance, determination and commitment are
needed enable for you to be a magician. Learning a trick is not easy, it will take
time and effort to perfect my craft. Sometimes there are sleepless nights just
because of perfecting a certain trick. It takes to be good at sleight of hand to
perform a certain trick. There are some point that I got very tired exhausted and
 I just want to give up. But you know if you love a certain thing you will always
find ways to achieve that certain thing.
5. When I was a child my confidence was very low, I can’t communicate
and socialize with the people around me. Whenever I want to know a certain
person I don’t know how to approach them. Then magic came to my life, it
helped me gained my confidence, also I don’t afraid to approach people
anymore because I learned it in magic. We always approach people in the
street, malls and public places if they want to see am magic trick. It help me a
lot and helped me mold the person I am today.
6. My best friend always provides me scaffoldings he supports me by
giving me detailed instruction step by step from the easiest trick up until when I
was able to perform difficult tricks. He always teach me the basic and gives me
advice for me to performed at my best.
