Suez City

(industrial city)

The Suez Governorate owns 7 industrial zones, with a total area


of 110,548.5 acres, which are: “The light industries zone, Ataka
and its expansions, the petrochemical zone south of the Sumed
line, the free zone (Adabia – Port Tawfiq), the economic zone
northwest of the Gulf of Suez, north of Ataqah (heavy), and west
Ataqah (heavy).

Regions
Ain Sukhna area
Ain Sokhna region, is a major industrial and logistical hub at the
southern entrance of the Suez Canal, combining port facilities,
industrial areas, residential areas, paved roads and railways and
linking them to Cairo and the city of Suez.More than 162 sq km
out of the total 210 sq km of Ain Sukhna are dedicated to
manufacturing. The area is designed to accommodate heavy,
medium and light industries, as well as commercial facilities.
There are also opportunities for real estate development to build
residential complexes. Maritime related activities include ship
building and repair services, bunkering, container scraping and
recycling.
East Port Said area
East Port Said area is being developed to become a major transshipment
center in addition to a multi-modal logistic center, and this area occupies
75.5 square kilometers in the area adjacent to East Port Said port.
According to the general plan of the region, 40 square kilometers of the
region have been allocated for commercial activities and medium and light
industries. The expansion of East Port Said port in the northwestern part of
the region stimulates industrial development and creates opportunities for
water desalination and the establishment of power plants, as well as work
to expand the road network. Among the investment opportunities in the
region are real estate development and residential projects in East Port Said
and Bardawil, which are characterized by some of them overlooking the
Mediterranean Sea.

West Qantara region


West El Qantara is a new residential community with light industry factories
and logistics centers facilitating access to the Suez Canal. It is located near
agricultural land, 30 km north of Ismailia, on Port Said Road.West El Qantara
has many advantages in terms of its proximity to the fertile delta and is
ideal for agribusiness.Currently, there are approximately 13.6 square
meters available for development in an area well supplied with water,
electricity, logistics and drainage projects. Logistics institutions also provide
several services - for example, but not limited to - warehousing,
transportation, distribution, shipping, receiving and packaging services.

East Ismailia region


A new center for high-tech industries, as well as planning to contain
scientific research and educational institutions. East Ismailia is located 10
km east of the Suez Canal, and covers an area of 71 square km.With
electricity and water supply connections, East Ismailia offers ample
opportunities for light and medium industries, research and development
centers, as well as services and commercial projects. A tunnel is currently
under construction to connect East Ismailia with the Egyptian mainland
which will greatly reduce transportation time from east to west.
