Welcome Parents

Greetings Parents,

It is a pleasure to have your student in my class. I am the Career Technical Education teacher for your
child. This is my first year teaching, and I am very excited about it!

Your student is enrolled in one of my Career Technical Education Courses. This year I will be teaching
different technical disciplines. This would include areas in Communications, Computer Drafting, and
Database Application Development.

I like to list several class procedures that I find very important:

1. Pre-read the chapter assignment before into class in order to participate in class discussion.
2. All homework must be turned in on time.
3. Be in class on time, and be mentally set to learn and discuss each new concept during class.

Grading rules:

We use the 100 points grade scale.

25% Chapter Tests/Quizzes

25% Completed Homework

25% Attendance

25% Six weeks test

Late work or Retakes: All requests to turn in late work or retake tests must come with a parent’s note
explaining why it is requested.
