I. Objective: to verify the laws of reflection
I = Angle of incident = angle of reflection
II = incident ray, reflected ray, and normal are in
same plane
II. Equipment: light source, power cord, metal prism,
protractor
III. Theory:
IV. Data:
Table I:

trial 𝜭i 𝜭r
1 90° 90°
2 60° 60°
3 67° 67°
4 80° 80°

Table II:

Trial II: 𝜭i 𝜭r
1 65° 65°
2 68° 68°
3 72° 72°
Table II:
Trial III: 𝜭i 𝜭r
1 72° 72°
2 74° 74°
3 76° 76°
4 79° 79°
5 81° 81°

V. Conclusion/Questions:
𝜭i = 𝜭r therefore all angles equal their incident ray
1.) The reason we do multiple trials is to make sure when we
calculate our angles they are as accurate as possible
2.) The law of reflection is when a ray of light reflects off the
surface, the angle of the incident is equal to the angle of
reflection. 𝜭i = 𝜭r
