I have never travelled the world by myself before as I have always travel to other

countries with my family. But since I’m officially eighteen years old now, I would like to
explore this amazing world on my own.
After many planning, I’ve decided to travel to the United Kingdom for two days and one
night. During the day of flight, I woke at 5 in the morning, took my breakfast and went on
my way to the airport. I did a little bit of window shopping as I had to wait for two hours
before I could enter the plane.
The moment I landed at the UK, I immediately went to the hotel that I booked in to check
in and place my luggage there. Once that was out of the way, I started exploring London.
First, I went and saw the Big Ben, it was an extraordinary clock tower! After that, I went to
the Buckingham Palace and manage to saw a few of the queen’s royal guard. I also went to a
museum called “The British Museum” to learn about the history of this wonderful country.
Evening came fast and I had to find a place to eat. I didn’t know where to eat so I decided
to ask a local person for his recommendation. He was friendly and told me to go to a nearby
restaurant called “Hard Rock Café”. The restaurant itself has a nice atmosphere and the
food there was delicious but it’s a bit overpriced. It was already 8:00 pm when I finished my
food so I went back to my hotel and called it a day.
When I woke up, I did all of my daily routines. Once I was done with that, I went out
exploring as much as I could because I need to reach the airport at 8:30 pm as my flight
departs at 9:00 pm. I went on a bus to the city of Cambridge which took about an hour and a
half. And I want to mention that Cambridge has a lot of museums. When I searched up
places of interest in Cambridge, I was shocked because it was filled with an uncountable
amount of museums.
First, I went to an art gallery that goes by the name of “Kettle’s Yard”. It is a stunning
gallery. Visiting it will make you want to live a more curated life. Secondly, I visited the
Cambridge University Botanic Garden. The main reason I decided to visit this place is
because I am interested in phytology. This botanic garden is established in 1846 and it’s
home to more than 8000 species of plants in the world. And for the last place of the day, I
visited the Imperial War Museum. I visited this museum out of any other museum in
Cambridge because I am interested of the events that occurred in World War II. In addition
to that, I can also improve my knowledge of history.
I had a great time in the UK. I’m glad that I have the chance to step foot into this wonderful
country and make memories in it. This was an unforgettable trip for me.
