Two-Way Anova, Interaction Effect and Post Hoc Analysis

1. One-Way Anova With Levels

a. Problem :
A researcher in the management science area want to study the effects of
an independent variable leadership style such (1) transformational
leadership (2) servant leadership and (3) transactional leadership upon a
dependent variable with two levels of employee performance such (1)
highly employee performance and (2) lowly employee performance.
Please, make your own data and analyze (1) the F-ratio, (2) the interaction
effect of the independent variable’s levels on the dependent variable’s
levels, and (3) post hoc analysis using the Tukey Test.

b. Data Description:
Leadership style provided by the an organization at Klungkung was
measured quantitatively to obtain interval data with the scale range 10-
100. Furthermore, the leadership categorized into three levels, namely (1)
transformational leadership, (2) servant leadership, and (3) transactional
leadership. The employee performance of an organization at Klungkung
was measured quantitatively to obtain interval data with the scale range
10-100. The employee performance was categorized into two levels ,
namely high, and low employee performance. Prior to data analysis, data
were tested for normality using the Kolmogorov–Smirnov test and
homogeneity of variance using Levene’s Test. Data were analyzed using
parametric statistics, especially a two-way Anova with confidence interval
0.05. The following are the obtained data.

d. Interpretation
The results show, firstly the leadership style had simultaneous significant
effect on the employee performance of an organization at Klungkung
Regency (F = 7.568; df 11 and 18; alpha =0.000). Secondly, there is
significant interaction effect of leadership style at all levels on the
dependent variable except non-significant interaction effect servant
leadership-high employee performance (mean difference = -1.00; alpha =
0,707);

e. Conclusion and Suggestion

The leadership style had significant simultaneous effect on the employee
performance of an organization at Klungkung Regency. There are
significant interaction effect at all levels of the independent variable on the
dependent variable except non-significant interaction effect servant
leadership-high employee performance (mean difference = -1.00; alpha =
0,707);
