Assuming 1.4 % Ratio of electrode consumption by weight to the total weight of welded fabrication
based on experience ( Enclosed sheet).

Total weight of fabrication = 483 x 1000 kg = 483000 kg

Weight of Electrodes = 1.4 x 483000/100 = 6762 kg

(1) Assuming 60 % of Welding with MIG(CO2) Wire (1.2 mm dia) = 6762 x 0.6 = 4057 kg

Each coil weight = 15 kg , No. of coil required = 4057/15 = 270 coils

Available @ site 70 coils , Now required = 270 – 70 = 200 coils

(2) Balance quantity 6762 – 4057 = 2705 kg With E- 6013 & E- 7018

Assuming 60 % with E – 6013 of balance 2705 kg The quantity = 2705 x 0.6 = 1623 kg

Balance 40 % with E – 7018 of balance 2705 kg The quantity = 2705 x 0.4 = 1082 kg

Details of E – 6013 = 1623 KG . Required 4 mm dia - 1200 kg & 3.15 mm dia – 423 kg

Weight of ESAB 4MM Dia Electrode 1 pkt (75 pcs) = 4.5 kg

No. of pkts requireds 4mm dia = 1200/4.5 = 266.66 pkt = 67 cases – Available at site.

Weight of ESAB 3.15MM Dia Electrode 1 pkt (120 pcs) = 4.5 kg

No. of pkts required 3.15 mm dia = 423/4.5 = 94 pkt = 25 cases(

Details of E – 7018 = 1082 kg. Required 4 mm dia - 700 kg & 3.15 mm dia - 382 kg
