Okay enough.

Now, Dino and I will explain the benefits of fairy tales in learning. Active, innovative, creative, effective,
and fun learning methods can be done by using fairy tales as the medium. The basic benefits or
objectives of teaching materials will be conveyed indirectly through the storyline from start to finish, so
there is no need to patronize students too much. Many things can be picked and learned and a fairy tale
(story) among them is:

1. Teaches morals. Through fairy tales, the moral values of life can be transformed. By taking the theme
of heroism, for example, children or students can be led to imagine the heroic acts committed by the
characters in the fairy tale.

2. Teaching culture. Cultural values such as mutual cooperation, politeness can easily be inserted or
even emphasized through the stories told. The power of fairy tales is able to convey messages implicitly.

3. Develop the power of imagination. Every child needs the development of imagination. Without it, the
mind will become passive, deadlocked, so it is not accustomed or trained to solve various problems in
life. The power of fairy tale imagination is present at the same time storytelling activities are carried out.
That is, students will immediately absorb the story told and then store it as a memory in the form of an
imagined event which includes characters, story, setting, and story message. All the values conveyed in
fairy tales get a clear picture through the events in the imagination.

4. Stimulate creative minds. The power of imagination by itself will drive the creative mind. According to
Seto Mulyadi (Kak Seto) fairy tales will psychologically stimulate children so that children are
encouraged to think creatively. The problems shown in the story and solved by the character will
become a basic model for children to solve problems.

5. Develop language skills. Stories told using language, be it regional or national (Indonesian) will
stimulate children to further enrich their vocabulary. Besides that, it can also be used for learning to use
vocabulary appropriately in a sentence and in what situation the sentence or word is used.

That is the benefit of fairy tales in learning.
