Scientific community and the problems it is facing
nowadays" Education and science play an important role in the development of any society. Everything that surrounds us - technology, buildings, everyday objects - is the result of conscientious work, scientific inventions and inspiration of many people. Thanks to the acquired education, any person can become a scientist or specialist in various spheres of activity and social life, so the need for knowledge for the further progress of humanity becomes clear. Scientific discoveries and inventions make a person erudite, expand his worldview, and force him to look not only at a certain problem, but also at the world in a new way. Thomas Kuhn suggested abandoning the image of science as a system of knowledge. The change and development of which is subject to the canons of the methodology of logic, and to replace it with the image of science as an activity of scientific communities, which depends on culture, history, social organization, psychological and technical base. A system of norms, basic theoretical views, methods, fundamental facts and patterns of activity, which are recognized and shared by all members of this scientific community. A scientist can be understood as a scientist only by his belonging to a scientific community, whose members adhere to a certain paradigm. The beginning of economic reforms and a sharp reduction in science funding led to the awareness of the specific problems of the scientific community, thereby reducing the level of politicization of public scientific organizations. The growing awareness of the common interests of all scientific workers has led to the search for ways to influence the budget and scientific policy through cooperation with various political parties and movements. Questions on p.31 5. What major conclusions does the author arrive at?
