1. How did society shape science and how did science shape society?

 Science has shaped society by applying scientific understanding, which includes


technological advancement and growth as a result of society's development. Science
also has been shaped by the society in response to our needs and demands.

 Science shaped society through technological advancement and growth as it goes along
with the development of the society, while on the other hand, Society shaped science
according to the demands of the society.

 Science shaped society through technological improvement and expansion in tandem


with societal development, whereas society shaped science in response to societal
demands.

2. How do social and human issues influence science?


 Science is shaped by society and humans through its knowledge and perception. Societal
concerns typically inspire scientific research ideas and research priorities are also
influenced by the accessibility of money for research. Technology has an impact on
society through its products and processes.

3. How do the political and cultural landscapes of the society affect the development of scientific
culture, science activities, and science literacy?
 The development of scientific culture, activities and literacy   is greatly affected by the
political and cultural landscapes.  
 First thing to recognize is that the core of science is a process of  hypothesizing, testing
the hypothesis, gathering evidence, comparing results, and then doing it all over again.
The scientific method is about learning about the  world around us, and how things are
going on.Next you need to pay attention  to tradition's prevalence in culture and
politics.  Specifically, whether or not tied to a faith,  most societies are despising
questioning in favor of obedience.  

 Science culture is overruled when any society or cultural  entity adheres to a belief that
Faith possibly explains something.  Scientific activities suffer when politicians want to
lean to legislative purposes on religious grounds.  When any cultural or political entity
pushes "facts" into a society that are  not supported by evidence, and instead claim, this
is when it rejects science literacy.

4. Considering the current state of our society, do you think science literacy among people has
contributed to the growth of our economy?
 Science literacy has contributed a lot to our society because almost every challenge faced in the
society can be resolved through scientific innovations
 Science literacy is the knowledge of scientific concepts and scientific innovations used for the
improvement of life and the boosting of the economic activity in the society in general.
Considering the society some of the applications of scientific literacy that has helped improve
the general well being of the economy and individuals includes :understanding the reasons
behind the climate change Understanding reproduction cycle Making informed decisions about
risk to reward during investments
 A scientific literate society make intelligent and informed decisions regarding their daily
activities and this helps the society at large.

5. How can science influence government policies?
 Science should influence politics by providing factual evidence for politicians to act on,
eg evidence of the causes of climate change and global warming.
 However, more often than not, scientific evidence is “an inconvenient truth” because it
identifies problems which require unpopular solutions, which politicians are unwilling to
support for fear it will cost them votes and their jobs.
